Configuring SmartFTP to access your web site

This article details configuration of SmartFTP to access your web site.
  1. Start SmartFTP
  2. Click on File, then New Remote Browser.
  3. Enter ftp.HostingAccountDomain.com in the FTP Host Address field. You can enter either your FTP address (ftp.HostingAccountDomain.com) or the secondary FTP address in this field. Your FTP login information can be found in the Site Info section of Control Panel. Note: your FTP address will not work until your domain name resolves to our servers.
  4. Enter your FTP account logon and password in the User and Password fields.
  5. The Add to Favorites... field may automatically be completed by the program, but can be edited if you wish to change it.
  6. Click OK to finish.
  7. The newly added Remote Browser profile will automatically load, and will also load automatically whenever the program is launched.
