How to enable SMTP authentication in Mac Entourage

The following method for enabling SMTP authentication in Mac Entourage should be applicable to most recent versions.

1. Click on "Tools" at the top of the Entourage window.
2. Click "Accounts."
3. Highlight the account and click the "Edit" button.
4. Select "Click here for advanced sending options."
5. Check "SMTP server requires authentication" ("Log on using" should be selected).
6. In the "Account ID" field enter your email address: EmailAddress@HostingAccountDomain.com
7. In the "Password" field enter: Your POP account password
8. Click the square in the upper left corner of the window.
9. Click "OK".
