How to configure an email account in Outlook XP/2002/2003

Follow the steps below to set up Outlook to retrieve and send emailfrom our mail server. Replace "HostingAccountDomain.com" with youractual domain name.

1. Open Outlook
2. Click "Tools," select "Email Accounts..." This will bring up the Email Accounts wizard
3. Select "Add a new e-mail account", click "Next"
4. In the Server Type prompt, select "POP3," click "Next"
5. Enter the values in the Internet E-mail Settings (POP3):
   • Your Name: The name you want to appear in outgoing emails
   • E-mail Address: The email address you want to appear in outgoing email (e.g., you@HostingAccountDomain.com)
   • User Name: Your full email address (e.g., you@HostingAccountDomain.com)
   • Password: Your email account password
   • Incoming mail server (POP3): mail.HostingAccountDomain.com
   • Outgoing mail server (SMTP): mail.HostingAccountDomain.com
6. Click "More Settings"
7. Click on the second tab
8. Check "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication"
9. Check "Log on using" radio button
   • User Name: Your full email address (e.g., you@HostingAccountDomain.com)
   • Password: Your pop3 account password
10. Click "OK"
11. Click "Next"
12. Click "Finish"
